The Kiowa Tribe Head Start is a center-based, comprehensive child development program that offers services to primarily low-income families (49% of enrollment). Services include: education and child development, health, family, and community engagement, as well as disability services.
All children ages 3 - 5 within the service area.
Caddo, Kiowa, and Comanche Counties
Application is available online (see downloads below), and can be picked up at any Kiowa Tribe Head Start (KTHS) facility: Little Rabbits Center, 1602 American Street, Anadarko, Oklahoma; Carnegie Center, 100 Kiowa Way, Carnegie, Oklahoma; KCA Center, 1401 NE Lawrie Tatum Road, Lawton, Oklahoma. Applications can also be delivered to families upon request.
Child must be 3 years old on or before September 1 (beginning of school year). There is a Selection Criteria/Point Ranking Form used by the ERSEA Manager to determine eligibility.
1. Child's Birth Certificate.
2. Social Security Card.
3. Medicaid Card (if enrolled in the DHS program).
4. Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) - if applicable.
5. Updated Immunization Record.
6. Family Income Verification.
